The first Alanzas Escaramuzas (“skirmishes”) competition will be held at our own charro ring in Bucerias this Sunday, 01 December, starting (hopefully) at 2 pm. This is opposite the Tercera Edad seniors facility on the Canal Road.
There is now a sign on the telegraph post, corner of the northbound lateral and Calle Encino, outside of the new restaurant El Cuilt under construction…
Drive (1 minute) or walk (5 minutes) up Calle Encino – past the El Eden Nursery. They have a great selection of plants, make you sure you visit him sometime – he generously gives us the adjoining Recyclers land free, so please pop in, buy a plant and say gracias! (#4 on the Elements map, right hand side). At the end is the dry canal, turn right. You won’t be able to miss the noise and excitement!
There will be fabulous displays of horsemanship skills (horsewomanship!) : colourful, vivid and truly Mexican. There will be live music and they promise “surprises”. That could mean anything! Remember to take your camera, sunscreen, and a cushion to soften the concrete seat. You can take your own but there will be food & snacks available for purchase.
Tickets 40 pesos in advance from Casa Bebe, baby store on southbound lateral near the church, or at the gate: 50 pesos.
Caption Competition: put a caption to the girls photo above – winner and prize to be announced at Amigos Meeting on Saturday 07 December.
