Before you can say the “dog days of summer” – it will be here – And if you are a dog owner or pet lover you will not want to miss this really fun event or you WILL be saying: “doggone it” !
A first for Bucerias, it will be a dog show with competitions for obedience, best dressed, and my favourite… : dog and owner look alike competition! Winning pets get … doggy bags (of course!) and we have pet related raffle prizes – collars, toys…You think your pets smile? Make them really laugh – buy a ticket – or 5 or 10.
PETS PICNIC will be held out at the – now famous – Tercera Edad (Third Age) venue which is opposite the charro (rodeo ring) on :
Sunday 04 August, 1 – 3 pm.
Tickets for food: 150 pesos
Includes: hot dogs – of course! (the good quality ones) with potato salad or mmm-mmm slow cooked beans, a cookie, piece of fruit and a bottle of water or pop.
Buy your tickets from: the Amigos Members Meeting on 01 June, and throughout Bucerias (while they last!!) – at the various vets, Elements Realty, and all the “usual suspects”. Or call: 298 2760.
Really reasonably priced wine and beer and soft drinks for purchase, and if you’re still hungry you can always buy more food.
The venue has a roof so if it rains – no matter. Plenty of shaded seating. And yes, toilets! This is located at the Southern end of Bucerias, inland side of the highway. From the highway, drive up Encino, it’s a paved road. You will pass El Eden Nursery (#4 on the excellent Elements Realty map) – pop in for a plant sometime, excellent selection! And there’s our Recyclers Yard – give it a cheer! Follow the road to the right and there’s the venue on the right. It’s only one km off the highway – no distance at all.
This is to raise funds to help the spay & neuter clinic maintain the program in Bucerias.
